The Introduction to Arc Welding certificate prepares students for entry-level welding employment by providing a multi-disciplined learning experience for beginning and intermediate welding students. Students complete foundation courses in industrial safety, blueprint reading, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG). Welding will be performed in multiple positions on plate steel and sheet metal.

Admission Requirements

Students who are at least 18 years old and have acceptable scores from the SAT, ACT or placement test can be admitted into this program without a high school diploma or GED.
