The Gas Metal Arc Welding fundamentals certificate prepares students for entry-level welding employment. This certificate is designed to provide basic structural welding learning experiences for beginning and intermediate students. Students will take foundation courses in industrial safety, blueprint reading, Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) and multi-position welding on plate steel and structural shapes.

Admission Requirements

Students who are at least 18 years old and have acceptable scores from the SAT, ACT or placement test can be admitted into this program without a high school diploma or GED.
