This certificate assists American Sign Language students with developing fluent skills in the communicative use of this language. Topics will include linguistics, as well as a study of the history and culture of Deaf people. This certificate will also enhance the skills of paraeducators and the medical/public service personnel working with the deaf and hard of hearing.
