The Welding Professional certificate teaches beginning and intermediate welding students the principles and practices of gas metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, and shielded metal arc welding, preparing them for entry into the welding fields of manufacturing, construction, fabrication, transportation, and maintenance.

This certificate will fulfill the primary technical specialty requirements for the General Technology - Welding, AAS (AAS.GENET.WLD) degree.

Admission Requirements

Students who are at least 18 years old and have acceptable scores from the SAT, ACT or placement test can be admitted into this program without a high school diploma or GED.
