  1. If you are a new or returning TTC student, complete the admission application online. Visit the link for a paper application.

    • Student enrollment statuses include new, readmit/returning, transfer, visiting/transient, high school, military/veteran, international, audit, senior citizen and non-credit.
    • Health Sciences and Nursing programs have additional admission requirements. Review the admission requirements for more information.
    • If you have college credit from advanced standing programs, military coursework or another accredited college/university, see if your credits transfer.
  3. Placement testing may be required to confirm that you are placed into appropriate level coursework.
    • Review your admit requirements to see if you can be exempt from all or a part of the placement test.
    • Students can test a maximum of three times for each section in a 12-month period. A fee of $25 will be assessed for a second and third attempt (this fee does not apply to high school students).
  4. Apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have your results sent to TTC (004290).

Verification of Citizenship: The South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act (S.C. Code Ann. 59-101-430) prohibits those unlawfully in the United States from attending a public institution of higher education in South Carolina and receiving a public higher education benefit. The act requires all public institutions of higher education to verify that all students are lawfully present in the United States. To learn more, visit the SC Illegal Immigration Reform Act.

Student Insurance: The college provides student accident insurance for all curriculum students. All students in Health Sciences and Nursing programs are required to carry professional liability and major medical insurance.

Grades and Unit of Credit: Letter grades are given at the end of each term. At the end of the semester, a grade point average is computed for that term and for the cumulative academic work completed while attending the college. The unit of credit used by TTC is the semester credit hour.
