NUR 219 - Nursing Management and Leadership Lecture: 1 Lab: 9 Credit: 4
This course prepares the student for the professional nursing role through the introduction of management skills required to care for small groups of individuals and to function as a leader of a nursing team. Students successfully completing this course are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-RN to become a registered nurse.
Prerequisite: NUR 206 and NUR 210 and CPR certification, all required immunizations/titers/tests, including the Hepatitis B vaccine series, major medical insurance, drug screen, criminal background check and mandatory in-service requirements. Clinical requirements must not expire during the semester in which the course is taken.
Prerequisite or Corequisite: Demonstration of proficiency on the ADN-level exit exam or NUR 216
