Certificate in Applied Science
20 Credit Hours

This certificate provides twenty hours of coursework and incorporates classroom and laboratory instruction. Students may choose to complete this certificate while pending admission to one of the Nursing programs. While completion of this certificate may not be the selected admission option, students will gain knowledge before entering one of the Nursing programs.

ENG 101 - English Composition I Credit: 3
MAT 110 - College Algebra Credit: 3
or
MAT 120 - Probability and Statistics Credit: 3
PSY 201 - General Psychology Credit: 3
PSY 203 - Human Growth and Development Credit: 3

Note: Completion of the Pre-Nursing certificate alone does not meet the Pre-Nursing Certificate option for admission to the Nursing program. Students using the Pre-Nursing Certificate as their admission option must complete all courses in the Pre-Nursing Certificate with a grade of C or better and minimum GPA of 2.75. No more than three of the six courses required for the Pre-Nursing certificate may be repeated to meet this admission option.
