Associate in Applied Science in General Technology
Cosmetology Career Path
60 Credit Hours
The General Technology degree allows students to select coursework necessary to become multi-skilled technicians. In addition to completing the college’s core curriculum, students complete coursework in at least two technical areas. The following is an example of a career path available. The secondary paths may be substituted for courses in other programs’ primary paths. Interested students should talk with their advisors.
This career path is designed for students who plan to complete an associate degree and work in the industry as cosmetologists, skin therapists or nail technicians. The career path prepares students for licensure exams and emphasizes service skills necessary for salon and spa employment.
Students can earn only one General Technology degree in a single career path.
