PHY 222 - University Physics II Lecture: 3 Lab: 3 Credit: 4 Contact Hours: 90 This course is a continuation of calculus-based treatment of the following topics: thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, electricity and magnetism, including electrostatics, dielectrics, electric circuits, magnetic fields, and induction phenomena. This course will cover geometric and physical optics and relativity. Laboratory exercises supplement lectures.
Prerequisite: MAT 141 and PHY 221 with a minimum grade of C Additional Notes: Students may not receive credit for both PHY 202 and PHY 222.
